GRAPHIC DESIGN

Welcome to my portfolio. All graphics found on this page were created by me, including this space scene.

LOGO DESIGN

I experimented with making some logos for myslef with the basic title 'Andrew Horner Graphic Design'. I wanted to try and be clever in my designs by combining the letter A with the H. The one in the top left was just a basic throw together that I decided wasn't particularly good in the end. The one in the bottom left I used illustrator and made an A with a cut in it to make both the A and the H in one letter. The one in the middle was my personal favourite as it is very bold and just fits nicely. There was no real purpose of making these logos.

A FLAT LANDSCAPE

A mountain landscape I created using paths and tree brushes in photoshop.

These designs on the left are some basic minimalist logos that I was developing for an amatuer production companny named Winward. These designs were created off a basis that they had not given me any context or told me what they wanted in their logo. The logo below is the final design that they accepted after I had been given a brief; they wanted it to represent a taxi (due to his grandfather being a taxi driver) but still represent a prooduction company (hence the play button).

POSTER DESIGN

For a form challenge in school we had to create a poster based on the word 'Wisdom'. I decided to put my graphic design skills to the test and make a minimalist quote sort of poster. The quote wasn't entirely thoughtful as I came up with it myself however I think the poster turned out ok. I also made another poster in a similar style but again not for a particular purpose.

The poster on the left here was the first professional poster I'd ever created. It was for a compnay named Handan Productions that were putting on a show entitled 'The Love Shack' in the Theatro Technis in London. I produced this poster for them professionally and followed their breif. The person I was in contact with (Hannah) was very pleased with my work and I have since worked with her again, producing the poster below for her show Valiant in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. I also produced flyers for both these productions which can be found on the strip below. The process of creating these designs was very professional and I was told by Hannah that she was very impressed with my communication skills and professionalism, considering that I am an amatuer graphic designer.

Feel free to have a look through my other works of graphic design. This work spans across the space of about two years, and several pieces of software including; Photoshop, Blender, GIMP and others.
